These string bound brushes are very durable and suitable for all adhesives. There are no metal parts so they will not rust. The bristles are Hog's hair. These are used in our bindery and conservation studio.

This premium quality brush, or Hake, has been sourced by ourselves directly from Japan. It is used to apply paste using a specialised technique which involves breaking the fibres of the paper whilst simultaneously adding paste to the washi.
